BUSINESS SENSE CHECK

A Business Sense Check helps founders develop a credible action plan to focus their business to achieve what the founder wants.

It starts with clearly defining the Founder’s goal, then walking through key elements of the business and reviewing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

At the end of the Business Sense Check Founders will better understand:

  • Their goals

  • Growth paths and barriers

  • Options to shape the business to achieve growth and the required results

  • Keys to success and threats to that success

This is documented in an Action Plan (presented in Excel for ease of use) and a draft short form Strategic Plan, which includes:

  • The Founder Goal

  • Summary of the business products and services (including unique selling points)

  • Risks and opportunities, together with a SWOT analysis

  • Initial Key Performance Indicators

A Business Sense Check requires about 4-5 hours of your time, spread over a couple of meetings and costs $4,350.

CASHFLOW FORECASTING

In any small business, managing the cashflows are critical. Most Founders are also Directors of their startup company(ies) and as such are subject to a number of requirements under both the taxation and Corporations legislation.

Having a cashflow is a basic way to prevent the company from getting into cashflow trouble in the first place. They don’t need to be complicated and super accurate.

Creating and updating a cashflow forecast also helps Founders to understand their cash inflows and outflows and to make judgements as to how certain the incoming cash is.

Our Growth Alliance is a short term program completed in three stages, designed to revitalise startups and small businesses for renewed or accelerated growth and investor returns. They deliver value to business founders and investors, providing support to businesses at all stages of maturity.

Pre-assessment

An initial review allows all parties to understand the opportunity and to define and agree on a short-term goal. This process typically takes 4 weeks and involves creating a high level overview of the required actions and resources.

Preparation

When alignment exists and a goal is agreed, work begins preparing for program execution. During this stage the required expertise is assembled; a formal achievement plan is developed; and a more detailed assessment of risk and other requirements is performed.

Execution

Work commences, with the Experia Growth team supplementing the business team to enable them to work on the agreed plan. Progress is monitored closely during execution, with monthly reporting for the duration of the Growth Alliance.

DUE DILIGENCE
